    Biography of Bogdan Stupka

    Bogdan Silvestrovich Stupka was a Soviet and Ukrainian stage and film actor.

    He was born in the village of Kulikove in Lviv Oblast. Stupka graduated from the studio at the M. Zankovetska Theatre (1961) and the theatre studies faculty at the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre Institute in Kyiv (1984). From 1961, he was an actor at the Lviv Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after M.

    Zankovetska, and from 1978, at the Ivan Franko Academic Theatre. In 2000, he became the Minister of Culture of Ukraine.

    He was awarded the State Prize of the USSR in 1980 for his work in th
