Paula Broadwell, born Paula Kranz, is an American writer, scholar, and former military officer.
She was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. She excelled academically and was an outstanding basketball player in school. Her parents divorced when she was a teenager.
Education and Military Career
In 1995, Broadwell graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Political Geography.
She later obtained a Master's degree from a university in Denver in 2006. Broadwell also earned another Master's degree from Harvard University.
