David Oliver is a hugely underrated Soul Singer, whose parents were both Jamaican.

He was born and grew up in Florida, and began singing when he was a high school student at the age of 15.

David sang in the school choir, mainly with the soprano singers at the school, due to his naturally high vocal register.

Though born and raised in Florida, David often travelled to Jamaica to keep in touch with his roots.

David sang with vocal groups throughout high school and college and was inspired by major artists like the Temptations, and Smokey Robinson.

After college, David joined the Air Force to keep from being drafted by the Army, he stayed five years and was a regular at the services' talent shows.

Following his military service, he moved to Los Angeles in 1967 and joined a multi-cultural group called Five Days & Three Nights whose members consisted of ot
